"Dr. Polansky was recommended to our organization as an excellent speaker.  We booked him on those recommendations
but only scheduled him for a half-day because none of our board members had seen his presentation.  To our delight
Dr. Polansky's presentation was informative, interactive, relevant and most importantly keep the attention of our entire conference.
Our only regret is that we didn't schedule his presentation for an entire day.  We will be inviting Dr. Polansky to speak at
our conference in the near future and he will be our Keynote speaker!

QUOTE: " Dr. Brian Polansky was the marquee presenter for the Maryland Chiefs of Police 2005 Conference.  His outstanding presentation on Leadership in Communication provided the motivation for both personal reflection and universal application.  Attendees wanted more lessons.  His book is still being recommended chief-to-chief as a “must read.”

QUOTE: " Leadership in Communication presented by Dr. Brian Polansky at the 2005 Maryland Chief's of Police Association Conference was by far one of the most compelling training sessions I have attended in quite some time.  It influenced me enough to purchase his book and actually use it as a reference for the skill that is most basic in our personal and professional life, "Communication". Dr. Polansky captivated his audience and allowed us to put ourselves in his position and determine what influenced us throughout our communication development.  The utilization of very basic concepts, with a slight twist, was an excellent way to translate his message into a usable approach.  All of these concepts are simple yet brilliant.  I have implemented them as often as I can and have found myself re-educating myself with his philosophy when preparing a speech, interacting with a difficult situation or even talking to my wife. Dr. Polansky was an excellent presenter of valuable information.  He could return to our conference again for the next phase of training and I know I wouldn't miss a second of it."

QUOTE: "Many of our attendees have mentioned how much they enjoyed your presentation.  It was amazing how many times your message was "parroted" that evening and throughout the next day.  That means they paid attention and actually put into practice some of your tips!"

"Subject: "Leadership and Communication Excellence" class
I want to thank each of you for the opportunity to attend the "Leadership and Communication Excellence" class instructed by Dr. Brian Polansky.  The two days of instruction were filled with excellent techniques and philosophies that can be used to improve the way we communicate and interact with everyone both professionally and personally.  Although some of the material was similar in content to other communication and leadership classes I have taken, Dr. Polansky presented all of the "refresher" information and much more new information in a way that was both easy to understand and entertaining to learn.  The information was excellent and the instructor outstanding.  Dr. Polansky is one of the best instructors I have ever had.  I think I can safely speak for the entire class when I say that everyone walked away with knowledge they can use to improve their ability to lead, resolve conflict, achieve higher success and most importantly improve their personal and professional lives.  If used properly, the knowledge gained by everyone in this class will also improve the lives of those they interact with.  I was so impressed with the material, and more importantly the instructor, that I purchased Dr. Polansky's  book Communication Excellence so that I could further study his philosophies and techniques in the hopes that I can put them into regular practice at both work and at home.
I would like to encourage the department to invite Dr. Polansky back to teach this class, not just to supervisors, but to as many people as possible.  I noticed on his website (http://www.brianpolansky.com/) that he also teaches several other classes that if given the opportunity I would eagerly attend."

QUOTE: "Dr. Polansky came highly recommended to our group from other Law Enforcement Professionals.  His presentation lived up to every expectation, and then some.  His unique perspective and presentation style make for an exciting training session filled with information and enlightening theories of communication.  Our group included street level patrol officers and law enforcement executives.  Everyone walked away with useful information to put into practice immediately.  This is a must see, must attend session for anyone who desires to improve their communication skills."

QUOTE: "For the past several years Dr. Brian Polansky has served as a distinguished guest lecturer for cadet training at the Austin (TX) Police Department.  Dr. Polansky has helped the Austin Police Department live up to our motto that "We Build the Finest Police Officers in the Nation."  Dr. Polansky brings a unique combination of wit, charm and academic rigor to the increasingly important field of communications in law enforcement.   He lives up to the training adage that in order for a student to learn the student first be interested.  Few instructors can engage a student's interest as well as Dr. Polansky.  That Dr. Polansky does so while providing distinct tools for the student is truly impressive.  Personally, I have acquired numerous tools from Dr. Polansky that have made my job easier and safer and helped me provide better service to my community."

QUOTE: "I must say that I walked away from your presentation with a better understanding about communications.  I have been a negotiator since 1989 and I have never received training like this.  My department spends quite a bit on training each year and I can honestly say this is one of the most important skills that goes undeveloped in most officers.  Every police officer should be exposed to your curriculum so they can utilize this valuable asset on the street, at home and in the workplace."

QUOTE: “Dr. Polansky, Thank you so much for the OUTSTANDING "Verbal Fitness" session you
presented to my department! Throughout the afternoon it was nice to hear the laughter, positive
comments and literally see and hear the attitude adjustments taking place right before my eyes!  Your message is clear and always right on target! Since this was my third trip through the "Polansky Experience" I knew this was just what my officers needed too. I dont have a sound file to attach to this E-mail but please accept the line below as one more "THANK YOU"  for all you did for us!

QUOTE: "Our recruits consistently rate Communications Excellence for the Security Professional as one of the most effective, enjoyable and useful blocks of instruction during the initial training academy.  Even more impressive is the fact that our more experienced Officers that participate in the course during annual in-service training recognize how important their communication style is in successfully resolving situations.  The information presented during Communications Excellence has helped to minimize complaints, improve problem resolution and reduced the number of “confrontations” that our Officers have to deal with.  Now that all of our security personnel have completed Parts I and II, we’re hoping that you’re in the process of developing Part III!" – Pat Walsh

QUOTE: "About five years ago, I had the privilege of attending a law enforcement communication course presented by Dr. Polansky.  I found it enjoyable and informative.  Recently, we brought Dr. Polansky in to speak at our ASIS, International meeting.  I was excited to see how he would apply his presentation to the security and loss prevention sectors.  Dr. Polansky did not disappoint, as he captivated the crowd with his speaking skills and timely topics.  I highly recommend his course for anyone involved in the security, loss prevention, or law enforcement fields.  Whether you are applying the information to your set of established interviewing skills, you want to improve your department's public perception, or you simply want to better communicate within your own organization, Brian Polansky is a must.

QUOTE: “Dr. Polansky, I was pleased with your style, not only as a presenter but as an educator as well. In my opinion, those who opt not to capitalize on your seminar are dealing themselves and their departments a tremendous injustice.  I would simply like to say thank you for sharing and giving us the tools to become both better communicators and supervisors.  I’ve attended many seminars during my career, but none compared to yours in practical serviceability.”

QUOTE: “I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the training very much and have implemented it in all aspects of my life.  It is a joy to have a better way to communicate at home and while on patrol.  I know there will always be a small percentage of people I contact that will not appreciate my job no matter what I say, but your techniques have helped me make it easier for the others to be appreciative of what I do, even though they are receiving something they do not want.  Thank you very much and please know that you have made a big difference in me.”

As a participant in the Texas Police Chiefs TPCLS program in Huntsville the week of February 18-22. Your presentation was excellent.   I have already forwarded the link to your website and a letter to our regional police academy asking them to consider soliciting your service for future training for our police officers.   For years I have attempted to convince my peers that we did not stress this type of training for our officers enough.   I am the chief of a small department (43 officers) and have noticed an increased tendency to "spray" instead of trying to diffuse a situation by utilizing communications skills.
For me on that part your message was very welcome.   You also provided a lot of insight into issues that I have observed in my own department and I feel that I am now better able to address some of the issues that face me there.
Please convey to your wife and your daughters that many of the police chiefs in Texas think that you are a great guy and I think it is great that you are so proud of the three of them.
I will be looking forward to attending your seminars in the future and I will be even happier for our employees to have the opportunity to attend.    I would not want to limit your message to just police officers as it is also the civilian staff that needs it just as much.
